ANNE GERWIG

State Representative, District 93

Greetings,

As you may know, I recently completed my freshman year in the Florida State House and am looking forward to the upcoming legislative session, which runs from January 13 through March 13, 2026.

I am proud to say we were able to get 2 bills across the finish line, which is pretty good considering the climate in Tallahassee.

Our first bill established a state-wide Fentanyl Awareness and Education Day. Florida will match the National Day of Awareness on August 21. Localities are encouraged to meet and discuss the dangers and the loss of life due to this devasting problem.

The second bill allows school districts to remain compliant with the required later start times by filing a detailed report with the Department of Education.

I was also able to pass several appropriations bills bringing over $4 million back to the district:

  • $650K – Wellington Pump Station Improvements

  • $550K – Greenacres Swain Blvd. Sewer Extension Phase 3

  • $500K – Alpert Jewish Family Services – Mental Health First Aid

  • $500K – The IDDeal Place – Intellectually and Developmentally Disabled Permanent Housing

  • $500K – YMCA of the Palm Beaches Community Center

  • $450K – Youth Center Gold-Seal Programming

  • $400K – ChildNet – Foster Care Family Visitation Center Expansion

  • $400K – The Children’s Healing Institute – Exchange Club Parent Aide – Palm Beach & Broward

It is my sincere honor to serve District 93 and to continue working together with all local and state agencies to ensure the best value for your tax dollars and the best quality of life for all of us here in Palm Beach County District 93.
